Chachkas Opening Celebration on Granville and MCL Bentley Launch Vancouver

Jun 29, 2006

By Catherine Barr

Two great opening events were the toast of the South Granville area at the end of June. First, Chachkas, the "Shopping for Urban Sensibilities" store celebrated their relocation with a special martini shopping party for guests. And earlier that same night, for those in the mood to spend a little more money, MCL Motor Cars tempted clients with their launch of the new Bentley Continental GTC convertible which can be yours for around $250,000.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

It was a back to back success at the Chachkas store party thanks Fusion Events gals Nicola Fairweather (left) and Susannah Khan.
Jewish Independent editor Katharine Hamer, MVKA marketing man Michael Nathanson and guest Inessa Galperin shopped for goods at the Chachkas party.
The gals just look good in this Bentley thanks to its silky blue paint and beautiful beige interior - just ask MCL Marketing Manager Christina Smalley (left) and her mom Karen Donald.
Canadian Olympic figure skater Emanuel Sandhu wouldn't mind jumping behind the wheel of a Bentley convertible.
VIP guests John Murphy (left), Carmen Ruiz y Laza and tech entrepreneur Dick Hardt already have a Bentley or two - but there's always room for more.
