Dine out Vancouver Preview Night

Jan 12, 2006

By Catherine Barr

Tourism Vancouver's fourth annual Dine Out Vancouver event begins next week and there are more than a few selections on the menu. Designed to help pick up business during the slower after-Christmas season, foodies can get their fill from Jan 20 to Feb 2 and enjoy a three-course dinner at 144 of Vancouver's best restaurants. Reserve now and choose from a $15, $25, or $35 per person plate at one of your favourite places. A special preview Dine Out event, held last Tuesday, gave us a glimpse of what's to come.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Dine Out Vancouver's tourism staff welcomed invited guests to tour select restaurants and sample from special feature menus. From left: Rosemary Marinelli, Dan Berger, Emily Armstrong and Kate Colley Lo.
Food writers Stephen Wong (left) and Judith Lane (right) had nothing but praise for Wedgewood Hotel / Bacchus Restaurant director Joanna Tsaparas.
White bean soup with duck confit and wild salmon were served with grace by Tim Ferris (left) and Andrew Bruce at Bacchus.
Savory Coast's Dee Anand (left), Darya Parakhnevych and chef Romy Prasad will spoil you with their $35 menu which lets you choose your own set serving.
A chocolate buffet to die for was served as an end of the evening treat by Sutton Place Hotel's pastry chef Wolfgang Dauke and assistant manager Sabrina Pokomandy.
