Scotiabank Easter SEals REgatta at the Vancouver Yacht Club

Aug 26, 2006

By Catherine Barr

The last weekend of August is not for land lubbers. Especially for those involved in the 16th Annual Scotiabank Easter Seals Regatta and Festival. Held annually at the Vancouver Yacht Club, this year saw close to 60 boats take to the seas along with 90+ boat sponsors - all in benefit of Easter Seal House Vancouver. An after sailing party and barbecue, complete with live music and prizes rounded out the day. Over $200,000 was raised - congratulations to all involved.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Even Johnny Depp doesn't look this good as a pirate. Matthew Cramb and dad Dave were aboard the "Bluebeard".

No room for mutiny on Megan Cramb's boat who gave shipmate Justin Harrington a heads up warning.

Event chair Russell Moldowan was more than thrilled with the turnout and enthusiastic support for this very worthwhile cause.

Eight-year-old Lauren Reynolds has grown up around this event. Her dad, skipper Rick Reynolds of West Van's Occam's Razor, were again the top fundraisers bringing in $8,550 for the kids.
