The opus Bar / Foundation Rainforest Street Party and Rouge 2006 at the Queen Elizabeth

Jul 21, 22, 2006

By Catherine Barr

Two great outdoor parties last week had people dancing in the streets. To begin, on Friday night, the Opus Hotel and Bar and Opus Foundation held a "Buenos Aires - Party in the Street" fundraiser where there was Argentinean food, live music and dancing all in celebration of the $10,000 donation being made to the Rainfores Foundation. Then, on Saturday night, it was time for "Rouge 06 - Hollywood North's Summer Bash". Held for the first time ever in the plaza outside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, the event features live circus performances, music and mingling with industry friends all in support of the Greater Vancovuer Media Association.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Publicist Emma Richmond (left), actor Gabrielle Miller, and Tina Thorndycraft (wife of Leo Awards producer Walter Daroshin), were just some of the glamorous gals attending Rouge 06.
Seenn at Rouge: look for actors Stephanie vonPfetten in her upcoming movie "One Way" and Tyler Labine in his debut as an unconventional lawyer in "Boston Legal".
