By Catherine Barr

"Dine Out Vancouver", one of Tourism Vancouver's premiere annual events, is in its' fifth year. And now, with more and more Vancouver restaurants participating, people are rushing to take advantage of this time to wine and dine with the best. Running from Jan 19 - Feb 4, select restaurants are offering three-course, set menus ranging from $15 - $35 a person and pairing them with BC VQA wines. You have to book early, so make your selections soon and see what our local chefs have to offer.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd, , and

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Take your $25 and select from the menu at Romano's Macaroni Grill on Davie served by manager Michelle Samat (left), server Django Lehner and chef Angela Liver.
Part of Tourism Vancouver's preview event is the media dine around. This year my group included BC Wine Institute's Alex Parr (left), food critic Judith Lane, Tourism Vancouver's Rachel Johnson and KVOS TV's Dale McCarthy.
Can't get enough of Manuel Ferreira's Le Gavroche French Restaurant. Seen here with PR gal Sue Alexander, you'll have to book early for this $35 menu.
Hats off to Tourism Vancouver's Emily Armstrong (left) and Amber Sessions for organizing the media night out.
A night of dining on the town was all part of the media preview for magazine editor Catherine Dunwoody and WE Westender food critic Andrew Morisson.
