A look back at April events gives us a glimpse of the first annual "Spring into Spring" fashion show benefitting the Zajac Ranch for Children on May 19, the third annual B.C. Restaurant Hall of Fame awards on April 23, plus the second anniversary celebration of the Smoking Dog Bistro and Blushing Boutique's opening night party - both on April 25th.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd, , and

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.

Century Spa owner Wendy Cocchia (left) was at the Zajac ladies' luncheon at the Capilano Golf and Country Club with Global TV anchor Jill Krop, who was also the event's MC. The Zajac Ranch for Children is the only camp of its type in Western Canada - it opens its doors to all agencies serving children with life threatening, chronic illnesses or physical disabilities.
CBC's Gloria Macarenko toasted Top Table head honcho Jack Evrensel at a West Restaurant after hours celebration for both his BC Hall of Fame induction (for the "Active" category) as well as his many Vancouver magazine restaurant awards. Top Table's restaurants include West, Blue Water, Cin Cin and Araxi in Whistler.
The Smoking Dog Bistro owners Jean Seguin and Judith Andrews celebrated their restaurant's second anniversary with a VIP wine tasting and live music with Jim Byrnes.
Blushing Boutique owner Shelley Klassen (centre) celebrated the opening of her new store on Richards with a "girly girl" party featuring friends/models Sharon Chan-Knight (left), Kelsey Imler, Kirsten Pedersen and Tammy Preast.
He gives extra style and class to Joe Fortes restaurant, and now, as a BC Restaurant Hall of Fame inductee, "Front of House" m'aitre d' Robert "Frenchy" Gagne has been immortalized.
